Gateway Early Years Practitioner – Temporary role Maternity Cover

Temporary contract starting 13th April 2026 and ending 18th December 2026

We have a vacancy at our Gateway Grange Setting for an Early Years Practitioner.   We are looking for an Early Years Practitioner who will work as a key person and as part of the pre-school team under the direction of the manager. To provide safe, high quality education and care for young children which meets the individual needs of children attending the setting. 

Please note this is a temporary position with the possibility of becoming permanent. 

Qualifications: Level 3 or above in Early Years. 

Desirable Criteria: Child Protection, First Aid, Food Hygiene, Health and Safety 

Skills:   

• Ability to work on own initiative 

• Passion for delivering quality provision in the Early Years 

• Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage 

• Team Player  

• Experience in a Childcare setting 

Hours:  28.5 hours per week term time only. Monday 9.00-2.00 Tuesday 9.00-3.00 ( 30 min lunch) Wednesday 9.00-3.00 ( 30min Lunch) Thursday 9.00-3.00 ( 30min Lunch) Friday 9.00-4.30 ~(30 mins lunch)

We are looking for an Early Years Practitioner who will work as a key person and as part of the pre-school team under the direction of the manager. To provide safe, high quality education and care for young children which meets the individual needs of children attending the setting.

Hours:   20 hours per week term time only . Tuesday 8.30-3.00 ( half hour lunch) Wednesday 8.30-3.00 ( half hour lunch) Thursday 8.30-12.30 Friday 11.00 – 3.00
