We have a vacancy at our Gateway Grange Rowner Setting for an Early Years Practitioner in the Caterpillar Room.

We are looking for an Early Years Practitioner who will work as a key person and as part of the pre-school team under the direction of the manager. To provide safe, high-quality education and care for young children which meets the individual needs of children attending the setting.

Qualifications: Level 3 or above in Early Years.

Desirable Criteria: Child Protection, First Aid, Food Hygiene, Health and Safety

Skills: 

• Ability to work on own initiative
• Passion for delivering quality provision in the Early Years
• Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage
• Team Player
• Experience in a Childcare setting

Working Hours:    26 hours per week term time only

Monday:       9.00am to 3.00pm  (30 min lunch break)

Tuesday:      9.00am to 3.00pm  (30 min lunch break)

Wednesday:  9.00am to 3.00pm  (30 min lunch break)

Thursday:     9.00am to 1.00pm

Friday:          9.00am to 3.00pm  (30 min lunch break)

Starting date will be 1^st September 2026

We are looking for a Deputy Manager at our Grange setting in the Caterpillar room

Purpose of the Job:

To support the Manager with the day to day running of the pre-school

To manage the pre-school in the absence of the Manager

To support staff in delivering practice in line with policies and procedures

To work alongside the Manager to ensure and effective Key Carer system is in place and partnership with the parents is strong

To act as a key carer to small group of children

To attend staff meetings

To attend training courses to keep up to date with good practice in Early Years provision.

Qualifications:

Level 3 in Early Years Education

First Aid

Child Protection

Food and Hygiene

Skills:

Team Player with essential people skills

Enthusiastic with a good sense of humour and Passion for Early Years Practice

Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage

Commitment to train further

Must be computer literate

Some experience in a managerial/supervisory position would be advantageous but not essential.

Hours:   27.5 hours term time only

Monday to Friday 9.00am to 3.00pm (30 min lunch break)
